Vege Sushi @ Hu Sheng Vegetarian Restaurant

This time, i grab my husband to this vegetarian restaurant nearby for a quick lunch.

Mango Sushi, with large cubes of mangoes inside, giving you every bite with mouthful mango. ^^

Heng He Sushi 恒河寿司, it contains vege meat floss 素肉松, bean sprouts 豆苗, sesame, yam bean 沙葛, purple cabbage 紫包菜.  You won't find any rice in this sushi, very refreshing~

Bitter melon fried rice 苦瓜炒饭，nice too~

I am sure will be going back to try out their other sushi ;D

The leicha soup, i like the soup which not coming in too strong flavour as others.

Overall, the food are delicious but just a bit over priced.

Restaurant Chinese Cuisine 古味坊 @ Menjalara

古味坊, a restaurant where you can find the taste of mother's cook.

Salty pork belly 咸鱼花腩煲, it's a good kick starts for our taste buds because it's not too salty but well cooked and tasty.  A must order dish every time we been here. 

Claypot fish 瓦煲鱼, the waiter told us this fish is cook inside the covered claypot.  So, all the fish essence left inside the claypot.  We like the fish not over cooked and the sauce is the best at all. ;D~~

Braised beancurd 鲍片豆腐, a very smooth and nice taufu.

Mixed vege.

Each of us having two bowls of rice and planning for next visit too. ;P

Montessori Playhouse Family Day 2011

Today, it's my sons' big day!  Both of them going to dance on stage at their school's Family Day which held at Menjalara Community Centre.  ^^

I like kids' dancing, they are so cute and they all dance with heart.  :-D  Even though some of them can't catch up the steps or can't dance professionally, but they are still able to step / stand on the stage.  I felt this is the best of all!

I have bought a voucher from Groupon for Marco's 2 Large Pizzas and 1.5 litre Coke/Sprite at RM30 earlier.  So, it's time to enjoy my meal. ^o^

Piggy pastry 猪仔饼

When i finish my groceries' stuffing this morning, i saw the freshly baked piggy pastry 猪仔饼.  Oh! This remind me of my childhood's favourite pastry.  I quickly grab some for my kids. ^o^

I remember during my childhood time, it comes with a colorful cage 猪笼 but this not.  Let's make our kids happy with these little cute piggy pastry during this coming Mid-Autumn Festival.  XD

Pao Xiang Bak Kut Teh 宝香绑线肉骨茶 @ One Utama

The Origin of Pao Xiang String Tied Bak Kut Teh:  In accordance to traditional culinary methods, the pork is tied with cotton string to keep it's shape and texture, as well as to lock in the intricate flavour during the stewing process.The result is a feast of succulent meats bursting of flavour that is bound to tantalize your taste buds while giving you a literal taste of a bygone era.

Pao Xiang is one of our favorite place for Bak Kut Teh after shopping in One Utama.

Time Out with Nature @ Starfresh Agro Park

We organised a group to attend a Farmer's Town 1 Day program at Starfresh Agro Park in December 2010.  Our program starts at 8.30am. ^o^

Actually, we have our lunch after harvesting.  You can choose from Curry Chicken rice / Fish n Chips / Chicken Chop / Sweet & Sour Chicken rice,  with starfruit juice / roselle juice.  I am too tired to take photos of our meal. ;P

2.00 pm: Jam Making. (From left: The recipe; separate the roselle fruit from the seed; cooking jam after blending; our roselle jam in jar)

3.00 pm: Soap Making.  (From left: cutting soap base into smaller size; lemon grass essence + colorings; melted soap in mould; here comes our soaps)

4.00 pm:  Target Shooting.  The most exciting activity for kids. :-P

Due to the heavy rain on that day,  the target shooting had to move from outdoor to a covered place.  We  have no choice to cancel our fun time in river and having steamboat instead of barbecue for our dinner.

We all satisfied with their warm service and delicious food.  Hope we can make another trip again.

Yut Kee, one of the last remaining Hainanese coffee shop in town which established in 1928 and now in its third generation of family ownership.
