Today, it's Winter Solstice. Traditionally, the Dongzhi Festival is a time for the family to get together. Once activity that occurs during these get togethers (especially in the southern parts of China and in Chinese communities overseas) is the making and eating of Tangyuan (汤圆) or glutinous rice balls, which symbolize reunion.
This year, i wanna make something special for my family members. Besides the ordinary round shaped glutinous rice balls, i add in some cute glutinous rice frogs for them. Oh, with these cute froggies in the bowl, the meal looks more tempting. ^_^
