Lunch @ Kensington Western Restaurant, Seremban

After our visit at the Army Museum, we proceed to Seremban to hunt for food.  We initially looking for the japanese food but we get lost in the middle of town.  Then, we accidentally found the Kensington Western Restaurant.  So, here come our lunch here.

It's a corner shop located in Era Square.  You can either choose to dine in an air-conditioned area or open area.  The restaurant itself is spacious and comfy.

Comfy dining environment

The paintings on the wall

Musical instruments painting

Jasmine Tea @ RM4.50
We just order a cup of Jasmine Tea, the restaurant is serving free flow of water for every diners.

Mushroom soup with Garlic bread
It's considered a wild mushroom soup as we found the soup is full of small chunky mushrooms.  It's not too creamy but fit for me.  Served with a piece of garlic bread, a flavorful garlic + butter, crunchy at the sides and soft in the middle.

Platters Set A @ RM23.80
The platter comes in a big portion!  It consists of garlic breads, honey chicken wings, cold mussels and garlic calamari.  I personally like the mussels which taste sour with tabasco, one bite equals to one mouthful, yummy~

The calamari is just fried in a good timing whereby the squids are not hard, then it sauteed with some garlic and chili.  More to our local style, still taste good at all.

Chicken wings are more likely in pan fried version with honey, sauteed with some garlic.  Nice and good~

Fish & Chips served with a bowl of mushroom soup with garlic bread @ RM13.90
The fish is coated with some bread crumbs and then deep fried.  It's crunchy and best to serve with the designated mayo sauce.

Bolognaise Paste serves with a bowl of mushroom soup with garlic bread @ RM13.90
A juicy bolognaise pasta with chunky tomatoes and chickens.  This dish all whacked by my kids.

Chicken cheese roll with bread crumbs @ RM16.00
Serves with some veges and wedges.  The chicken is wrapped with ham, cheese and bread crumbs, serves with some black pepper sauce.  It's quite tender.

Our getaway ended with this lunch and back to our home sweet home.

Actually we want to pay a visit to the Ostrich Farm, unfortunately it's raining heavily in the morning.  Thus, we bring our kids to the Muzium Tentera Darat.  All these while, they like to watch Transformers.  Those war tanks are their favorite vehicles.  This time, they have a chance to touch them.  So excited~

Dinner @ Weng Yin Seafood Village 九哩香海鲜村, Port Dickson

After we have spend our afternoon session at the Water Park of Tiara Beach Resort, we all starving for dinner.  As we are disappointed with the breakfast meals in the morning, we decided to drive out for our dinner.  After searching through the web, we proceed to the bloggers' recommended restaurant called Weng Yin Seafood Village 九哩香海鲜村.

The sign board

The counter, servings Muslim Seafood

Our appetizer @ RM2.00

Bitter Gourd Omelet @ RM6.00
My kids' favorite dish, they finish the whole plate. ^^

Three Taste Fish 三味非洲鱼 @ RM30.00
It's one of the restaurant's signature dish.  Since we have kids dining together, they serve the sauce separately.  Even though without the sauce, the kids enjoy the crunchiness of the deep fried fish.  My eldest call this 'flying fish' ;-p

The sauce to be served with our fish
I must said, the fish is not perfect without the sauce.  It's a combination of spicy, sour and sweet sauce.  It's one of the yummy dish i like~

Marmite Chicken Cubes 妈蜜鸡丁 @ RM10.00
The chicken is crunchy, the marmite sauce is thick and flavorful.  This dish is even better than those we had in KL.  Thumbs up!

Drunken Prawns 醉虾 @ RM29.00
In the end, we decided to add order.  It's a big kick of having this dish!  The soup is strong with wine taste and comes with a lot of fresh, yummy prawns~  Husband finish the soups.  Oh, i miss this soup now.....

Beach Front Cafe @ Tiara Beach Resort, Port Dickson

We planned to spend our second day at Tiara Beach Resort as the kids want to play at the Water Park.  Thus, we have our breakfast at the resort.  The nearest for breakfast is Beach Front Cafe.

The cafe
The cafe is selling junk foods, nasi lemak, sandwiches, drinks, ice creams, cup noodles and etc.  The price is higher than those selling outside the resort.

Because the cafe is just located in front of the beach, the dining area is full of sands.  You can see a lot of ants wandering around the counter.

Cheese sandwich @ RM3.00
A cold sandwich and nothing special, just an ordinary sandwich.

Nasi Lemak biasa @ RM6.00
The pre-packed normal nasi lemak.  Even though it's packed in a microwave reheatable container, the cafe does not provide 'REHEAT' service.  With the price of RM6.00, it just comes with some anchovies, peanuts, half hard boiled egg, two slices of tomato and sambal.  I personally think it's over priced.  More over, it's cold.  Quite disappointed with this rice.

Waffle @ RM5.00
The waffle is the only hot meal for us in the morning.  We order the peanut butter with chocolate and it's just taste ok.  My kids prefer the one we had in KL.

After having these in the morning, we decided to drive away from the resort for our dinner after the splish splash session at the Water Park.

Pantai Kemang @ Port Dickson

Our kids haven't been to any beach before.  After we check-in our room and unload our luggages, we decided to bring them to the beach for a walk.  We drive all the way out to Pantai Kemang, where it has lots of souvenir stalls all along the beach.

It's 4.30pm, the sun is still hanging high up to the sky.

The shadows of my kids at the beach
The beach has a public washroom which charging RM1 per person.  You can take a shower and change your clothes after having fun at the beach.

We saw some monkeys playing.

Tricycle for rent

It's an empty place where can have a tri-cycle ride and poney ride.

After an hour's time at the beach, we need to feed ourselves.  Just a few minutes drive, we found this Top Seafood Restaurant at the roadside.  It's a corner shop of a row of shoplots.  We decided to give it a try.

Dinner at Restoran Top Seafood 鱼虾蟹海鲜楼

They have a double swing at the corner of the restaurant

Sweet & Sour pork 咕噜肉
The pork is ok but we prefer a crunchy one.  Maybe because we request to have a non-spicy version, so the sauce is more to sour taste.

Dry butter prawns 干奶油虾
Thumbs up to the crunchiness of the prawns!  The prawns are fresh enough but the portion is too small.

Fried vege 清炒菜胆

Sizzling oyster omelet 铁板蚝煎
The omelet has to consume together with the veges, if not, just taste salty only.  Nothing fanciful.

We have six rice and a pot of chinese tea and the total comes to RM60+.  Quite reasonable.
