Pantai Kemang @ Port Dickson

Our kids haven't been to any beach before.  After we check-in our room and unload our luggages, we decided to bring them to the beach for a walk.  We drive all the way out to Pantai Kemang, where it has lots of souvenir stalls all along the beach.

It's 4.30pm, the sun is still hanging high up to the sky.

The shadows of my kids at the beach
The beach has a public washroom which charging RM1 per person.  You can take a shower and change your clothes after having fun at the beach.

We saw some monkeys playing.

Tricycle for rent

It's an empty place where can have a tri-cycle ride and poney ride.

After an hour's time at the beach, we need to feed ourselves.  Just a few minutes drive, we found this Top Seafood Restaurant at the roadside.  It's a corner shop of a row of shoplots.  We decided to give it a try.

Dinner at Restoran Top Seafood 鱼虾蟹海鲜楼

They have a double swing at the corner of the restaurant

Sweet & Sour pork 咕噜肉
The pork is ok but we prefer a crunchy one.  Maybe because we request to have a non-spicy version, so the sauce is more to sour taste.

Dry butter prawns 干奶油虾
Thumbs up to the crunchiness of the prawns!  The prawns are fresh enough but the portion is too small.

Fried vege 清炒菜胆

Sizzling oyster omelet 铁板蚝煎
The omelet has to consume together with the veges, if not, just taste salty only.  Nothing fanciful.

We have six rice and a pot of chinese tea and the total comes to RM60+.  Quite reasonable.

Getaway @ Tiara Beach Resort, Port Dickson

It's school holidays~  I bought an accommodation's voucher at Tiara Beach Resort last year and arrange our first family trip to Port Dickson this year.  This is our kids' first time outing to the seaside, wish to let them get close to the nature and give them a chance to see the 'SEA'.

From Kuala Lumpur to Port Dickson, it takes about an hour's time,  quite close actually.  Suitable for kids because they can't sit still inside the car for too long.  We check in our room as soon as we reach Port Dickson.

This is our room, comes with a bunk bed, a wardrobe and a dressing table with mirror.

Two queen size beds with TV, TV cabinet and wooden chairs with table.

They have a pantry area inside the room too, comes with a mini fridge.

The washroom comes with a hot shower.
The room itself can accommodate 7 peoples.  It has an air-conditioner and two ceiling fans.  Since this is a private unit which does not belong to the Tiara Beach Resort, so we have to do all the cleanliness by ourselves.  Moreover, remember to bring your own toothbrush, toothpaste, shower gel, shampoo, toilet paper and other necessary things.

A friendly reminder, never left food in the room as the ants are easily attracted by the smells.  Throw away the rubbish as soon as possible.

The facilities all around the resort:-

The Water Park of Tiara Beach Resort

With beach front

The kids' water park

The Beach Front Cafe
I hope the resort aware of the cleanliness of this cafe because the counter is full of ants wandering around.  Furthermore, the food is cold esp. the nasi lemak.  The nasi lemak is packed in a microwave reheatable container but the cafe does not provide microwave oven to heat up the rice.  It is so bad for us to have a cold rice in the morning. :-(

The resort is well organised and full of lots of activities, just a bit pricey if dining here.

Pork Noodle 猪肉粉 @ Bandar Menjalara

Husband likes pork noodle, and he always visit this shop for his breakfast.  I'm not a fans of pork noodle but their soup is so rich and taste much much better than most of the others.

The shop's name: 猪肉粉
The busy cooking area, i'm not sure what time they start operating but i'm sure you can have your breakfast here as early as 7.30am till late afternoon.  They close before evening.

Pork Noodle (Mian Sian)

Pork Noodle (Rice noodle + hor fun)
Both bowls of noodle come with pork lard, pork slices, minced pork in patties shape, liver and some veges.  Their soup is rich, having a bowl of this soup in the early morning is a good kick start for me.  Husband always finish the whole bowl of noodle including the soup.  The minced pork is soft and well marinated.  Some of the customers will request extra pork lard.

They do offer some other pig's intestine, bitter gourd with extra charges.
